The first use of the Second National flag of the Confederate States (nicknamed "The Stainless Banner") was to cover the coffin of General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson as his body lay in state in the Virginia capitol, May 12, 1863. It was too often mistaken as a surrender flag on the battle field and so was replaced by the Third National ("Blood Stained Banner") on March 4. 1865. This 3'x5' flag is made of 100% 100-D printed polyester. Includes brass grommets and extra stitching on the fly-end for added durability. Available in two sizes: 3'x5 or 5'x8'.
