This fine porcelain tankard features John Paul Strain's compelling portrait of General Robert E. Lee at Williamsport Crossing on June 25, 1863. Incorporated into the design is a cartouche with a description of Lee's historic advance into Maryland. The cast metal lid is plated in nickel and bears a sculpted portrait of Lee. Manufactured in 2001 for the Civil War Library and Museum by the Franklin Mint. Stands approximately 5" tall. This item is not new in box but is nevertheless in excellent condition with no defects.
